Accurate, large diameter crossed tapered roller bearings consist of one outer ring, a two-piece inner ring, tapered rollers and separators.
The bearings can accommodate axial and radial loads as well as the tilting moment. Their special internal construction means that both frictional loss and heat generation are low.
Typical applications for crossed tapered roller bearings include tables for vertical lathes and machinery centres, drilling and milling machines, welding equipment or radar aerials – applications where very high rigidity and accuracy are required.
